SINGITA
Castleton Camp

Castleton Camp lies between the Sabi and Sand rivers, in the Sabi Sand Reserve. This is a sincerely inviting, embracingly comfortable hideaway that exudes timeless charm, in lush grounds overlooking a well-frequented waterhole, where buffalo, antelope and lion prides are regular visitors. Comprising a stone-walled ‘farmhouse’, and accomodation in six charming rooms in a garden setting, this colonial homestead offers fascinating memorabilia and artefacts with comfortable furnishings that create a welcoming ambience of understated luxury.

Singita Castleton is available only to groups, comprising a maximum of 12 guests. Within the grounds there is a tennis court, swimming pool and a trampoline for the children; and guests enjoy sublime cuisine prepared by an executive chef, rare vintage wines, fireside dinners in the boma or in the colonial farmhouse dining room, romantic breakfasts and sundowners out in the bush.

Sabi Sand Reserve

Singita Castleton is situated in the heart of the world-renowed Sabi Sand Reserve, known for its prolific wildlife and the best leopard viewing in the country. There are two other exclusive properties situated on the 18 500 hectare reserve, namely Singita Boulders Lodge and Singita Ebony Lodge. The region features broad, open savannah interspersed with acacia thornveld, rocky outcrops and riverine forest. Herds of buffalo and elephant, large prides of lion, majestic leopards and numerous antelope species call the Sabi Sand Reserve home. From the luxury of Singita’s exquisite lodges, guests can enjoy superb game viewing, either from their Land Rover, on a walking safari or from the balcony of a private suite.
