Singita Grumeti Reserves in Tanzania has been singled out by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) as one of three finalists in the Conservation category of the Tourism for Tomorrow Awards 2010. Winners will be announced in Beijing (China) on 26 May 2010.

The WTTC awards were launched in 2003 in order to identify the top practice in sustainable tourism, in four categories:  Destination Stewardship, Community Benefit, Global Tourism Business and Conservation. Singita Grumeti Reserves is one of only 4 finalists in Africa across the four categories, selected from 160 entries representing more than 45 countries.

This significant milestone follows shortly after the Condé Nast Traveler Readers Choice Awards ranked Singita Grumeti Reserves in its top 10 for Africa and the Middle East, and Singita Sasakwa, the flagship lodge of Singita Grumeti Reserves, was voted amongst the World’s Top 3 Lodges in the Hôtel&Lodge Travel Awards 2009.
