The new cubs to the Butamtam Pride were introduced to us this month, 3 youngsters born towards the end of October add their numbers to the pride, increasing the total to 12. Large herds of plains game are everywhere to be seen; we are seeing herds of more than a 1000 zebra, 3000 topi, 2000 Thompson’s gazelle and intermingled with these are smaller herds of eland of up to 150 animals and breeding herds of buffalo between 60 and 200 animals. There are also Giraffe, Impala, Grant’s gazelle and many of the solitary animals like Kirk’s dikdik and grey duiker around, warthog fans were not disappointed either.
