For the year to date:869 mm (34 in)

The first two weeks of March were fairly dry, with not much rainfall over the central and western parts of Singita Grumeti Reserves; Ikorongo had a lot – which made the Game Scouts Training course fairly wet! Game viewing across the whole property has been phenomenal, with great sightings of the new Butamtam Pride cubs, leopard, elephant, buffalo and cheetah.

With the exception of wildebeest general game has been plentiful. Thousands of zebra cross the plains daily on their way to water; large herds of buffalo, topi and eland are still to be seen on the plains. From the 16th of March we have had excellent rainfall.

All of the natural water holes on the property are filled to capacity, the smaller drainage lines are flowing and the Grumeti River is in full flow again.
